About the role

D'JS CURTAINS' is seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our team in Pakenham South, VIC. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to fabricate high-quality curtains, soft furnishings and other textile goods.

What you'll be doing

• Operating industrial sewing machines to assemble, trim, and finish curtain and soft furnishing products according to specifications

• Performing quality checks throughout the production process to ensure all items meet our high standards

• Collaborating with the design team to translate patterns and drawings into finished products

• Maintaining sewing machines and reporting any issues or required maintenance

• Contributing to a safe and efficient work environment

What we're looking for

• Significant experience operating industrial sewing machines in a commercial or manufacturing environment

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to meet production targets

• Knowledge of textile materials, sewing techniques and finishing processes

• Comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity
