Sheet Metal Worker $38.50ph

We are on the look out for a Sheet Metal worker with a Forklift Licence for our client based in Carole Park. If you have experience in the manufacturing industry and strong work ethic, we'd love to hear from you!

• Fabricate, install, and repare metal products using thin metal sheets
• Using tools and machinery like brakes, rollers, and presses to bend, shape, and form the metal sheets into the desired configuration
• Select the appropriate type of thickness of metal sheet based on the project requirements and then cut the metal to the required size and shpe using gullotine
• Bending, shaping, and joining metal using techniques like welding, soldering and riveting
• Read and interpret teachnical drawings and blueprints to understand the dimensions, shapes and specifications
• Ensure that the finished products meet quality standards and specifications
• Following all health, safety and quality management requirements
• General warehousing duties and housekeeping

To be considered for this role we are requiring candidates to have the following:

• You MUST have full working rights
• You MUST have current Forklift Licence and minimum 12 months experience
• Sheet metal experience (2 years preferred)
• Experience with Spot-Welder, Guillotine, Hammers, Folders, Rivet-Guns
• Understanding of workplace safety standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
• Car and Licence
• MUST be reliable
• Physically fit
• Available to start ASAP!
