Veitch is a family-owned business with over 25 years under the current ownership manufacturing high quality light gauge Stainless Steel products for the building industry. 

The Position

This is a full-time, permanent position for 38 hours per week, (worked as a 9-day fortnight) with an opportunity for overtime based at our clean modern factory in Thomastown.

We manufacture medium volume stainless steel modular products using processes such as TIG welding (manual and robotic), CNC brake pressing, laser cutting and turret punching along with other traditional equipment.

This role will provide training in all aspects of welding and fabrication using stainless steel sheet metal. However, someone already experience would be encouraged to apply if they were interested in undertaking a mature age apprenticeship.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following: 

• Taking pride in your work, attention to detail and the ability to work with precise measurements.

• A job history with reliable attendance in the metals industry or similar.
