With a strong pipeline of exciting projects in greater Sydney, we are seeking a motivated and dedicated Site Engineer to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our projects.
Position Overview:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of civil construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all site activities run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. Working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and the broader project team, you will ensure that the highest standards of quality and safety are met on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring work is carried out according to project specifications and safety standards
Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to the project manager
Assist in the preparation and management of site documentation, including work plans, risk assessments, and safety reports
Ensure the quality of work meets contractual requirements and industry standards
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
Manage on-site teams to ensure efficiency and productivity
Assist in the development of project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
Resolve technical and engineering issues as they arise on-site
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
Previous experience in a site engineering or construction role
Strong understanding of civil construction practices and safety standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
Experience with site management and project delivery
Proficient in using engineering software and tools (MS Project, Bluebeam, etc)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
