Site Erector/Leading Hand

Tali Engineering is a structural steel fabricator and erector, located in Wingfield, South Australia.  Tali Engineering have an immediate requirement for a Site Erector/Leading Hand Tradesperson.

As the site erector, you will undertake structural steel erection over multiple sites.  Your key responsibilities will include interpreting drawings, marking, and setting out jobs, drilling and installing chemical fasteners, rigging and installing of structural steel members and site welding as needed.

Key skills and attributes:

• Minimum two years of experience in structural steel installation
• Trade qualification as a boilermaker
• Competency in Stick welding (advantageous)
• Ability to interpret drawings and perform marking and setting out tasks
• Physically fit and motivated
• Reliability and high attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative and commitment to safety
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A current driver’s license
• Attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Construction induction card.
• EWP, Forklift, C6, Dogman, and Riggers tickets (highly regarded)
• Must pass a police/working with children’s check
