Task & Responsibilities
Working within a multidisciplinary team, your general responsibilities will include:
- Receiving referrals from Medical Practitioners to perform ultrasound examinations appropriate to the patients needs and referrers request.
- Determining the appropriate equipment to use and selecting the appropriate equipment settings to provide the diagnostic information requested by Medical Practitioners.
- Explaining procedures to patients and answering patients' inquiries about processes.
- Ensuring patients' welfare during procedures.
- Positioning patients and equipment preparatory to procedures.
- Viewing the images and deciding if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes and selecting images to show Medical Practitioners.
- Conveying findings of procedures to Medical Practitioners.
Qualification & Experience
The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification.
- Current ASAR Registration.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ultrasound, including MSK and Vascular Ultrasound.
- Experience in the various responsibilities listed above.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to excellence and quality in the provision of aged care services.
- Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with accreditation/compliance.
- A great customer service expertise.
- Ability to work effectively, respectfully and collegially in a team environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work with clients of differing backgrounds whilst maintaining role and professional boundaries.
