Job Description We are excited to announce the creation of a new Sous Chef role working closely with our talented Head Chef, Ben. This newly established position is designed to be a key support to our Head Chef and will play an integral role in our kitchen’s success. It’s a crucial role, with immense potential for growth and career progression. Your Duties Include Supervision of kitchen in the absence of the Head ChefMaintain excellent presentation standardsLead team members by setting a positive exampleAssist Head Chef with new menu preparation and ensuring adequate suppliesHave strict stock control procedures implemented and maintained ensuring minimum wastageLiaise with Restaurant team members regarding any changes to menu itemsAssist Head Chef with preparation of rostersCultivate positive work environment and assist Head Chef in development of kitchen team members Qualifications Must have previous experience in a similar role in the hotel industryA strong understanding of food cost and controlA strong understanding of food safety requirementsStrong product knowledge of seasonal ingredientsCulinary trade qualificationComputer & administrative skillsMust have valid full Australian working rights – sponsorship is not available for this roleAvailable to work flexible rosters and PM shifts Additional Information At Accor, we believe HOSPITALITY IS A WORK OF HEART!
