We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading community-based provider seeking a contractor Speech Pathologist to support children and adults in their homes, schools, early childcare centres, or via telehealth.
Why this role?Work flexibly – manage your own schedule based on client needs (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm standard hours; some after-hours/weekend work may apply)
Diverse caseload – children and adults with a range of communication, developmental, and behavioural needs
Meaningful work – support clients funded through the NDIS in a person-centred, evidence-based model
Collaborative team – work closely with internal staff and external networks (families, schools, childcare centres, referral sources)
Deliver speech pathology assessments and interventions in client homes and via telehealth
Use evidence-based approaches to manage a range of communication, language, literacy, and swallowing issues
Contribute to goal planning aligned with NDIS outcomes
Prepare clinical documentation, reports, and progress notes
Maintain client confidentiality and meet NDIS compliance requirements
Participate in quality assurance activities, peer support, and ongoing professional development
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology
SPA Registration, Working with Children Check, Police Check, Driver’s Licence, and own car
At least 2 years’ experience (or relevant experience for early career professionals)
Understanding of NDIS and experience supporting clients with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, and other complex needs
Confident in using technology to deliver telehealth services
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
Professional indemnity insurance and Medicare provider number
Experience with articulation, phonology, literacy, cognitive-communication, resonance, social communication, dysphagia, dysphonia, and speech impairments
Experience delivering staff or carer training
