Sports Development Officer

Task & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Advise and support coaches, organize training clinics and camps, and promote skill development among young participants.
2. Foster strong relationships with schools, clubs, and local sporting bodies to increase participation and create pathways for young athletes.
3. To promote KDV Tennis Club’s offerings to recruit new players and other coaching staff.
4. Coach, train and instruct athletes, contractors and employees by analysing performances and developing sports skills.
5. Plan, develop, and coordinate engaging sports programs for young athletes
6. Organize and schedule competitions, ensuring venues are secured and prepared.
7. Help maintain sports grounds, courts, and facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
8. Manage program budgets, oversee grant applications, and handle administrative tasks.
9. Develop initiatives that encourage equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring all young people have access to sports and recreation opportunities.
