Squad Lead - Architecture

About the role  

Reporting to the Hub Lead – Performance, Architecture & Innovation (PAI), the Squad Lead - Architecture is responsible for:  

• Medibank Group-wide IT Architecture  

• Data & Technology Architecture Governance  

• Data & Technology Architecture Practices  

About you   

You will have a solid track record of setting and overseeing the optimisation of technology operating models, including metrics, scorecards, governance, cost, delivery, and capability models within a large enterprise environment. You will have prior experience leading large technology architecture teams and the development of architectural artefacts including roadmaps and patterns.  

You will also have experience across the following areas. 

• Leading transformational, strategic change and delivering measurable operational efficiencies and simplification. 

• Broad technical depth, including experience in cloud-native technologies and navigating decision-making amid high ambiguity. 

• Fast-paced technology and financial markets environment, with a strong focus on business results.  

• Strong understanding of market and business context; understanding financials; accounting level of scrutiny over the numbers; developing business cases. 

• Experience setting and overseeing lean technology governance models and fit-for-purpose, modern delivery practices including Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps and SRE.
