About the role:

An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary HSIE Teacher at a vibrant, community-focused K-12 co-educational college located in Sydney's south-west suburbs.

You will be teaching Stage 5 HSIE subjects, including Aboriginal Studies, Commerce, Geography, and History, within a supportive and collaborative teaching environment. The college, home to approximately 1,000 students, is committed to nurturing future leaders and values educators who bring energy, passion, and a commitment to holistic student development.

Key Duties:

  • plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning
  • instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
  • demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team
  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
  • demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
  • be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular programs at the College
  • hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people.

Skills & Experience:

  • Secondary teacher qualification suitable to teach Stage 5 HSIE
  • Graduates welcome to apply
  • Hold a valid and up to date NESA registration
  • Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references
