About The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a State Field Sales Manager located in Crestmead. The role of Sate Field Sales Manager reports to the National Field Sales Manager, this role is responsible for the management and acquisition of state accounts and development of the sales and targeting strategy for new stat account acquisitions. Working collaboratively with the regional operations teams and national accounts teams to identify and correctly position new opportunities. Develop and manage sales planning process to execute growth while maintaining revenue growth and profit for existing state account customers, while leading a team of Business Development Representatives. In this Role Successfully lead a business development team in the pursuit of maintaining current and attracting new customers in the States Develop team members ensuring their success in their maintenance and attraction of existing and new clients. Identify learning and development needs consistent with Metcash methods ensuring success. Work collaboratively with Branch manager and their leads, key Account manager and other key stakeholders to maintain & grow existing state-based accounts. Develop and maintain the strategic state sales account roadmap managing state accounts consistent with the C&C methodology and strategic initiatives, consistent with the Partnerships and Merchandise Team. Ability to read, comprehend and evaluate P&L, financial forecasts and determine leverage opportunities Build strong networks with key customers, own your accounts You’re Likely a Match If Ability to manage large/state based customer accounts Proven ability to exceed sales targets using a structured data-driven, planned approach - strong numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills Customer segment profitability analysis – able to evaluate customer performance in consultation with finance/commercial analysts Business unit planning – able to translate the segmentation strategy into territory plans and establish clearly aligned goals and targets with your team Experienced negotiator with experience in closing out commercial agreements Life at Metcash 🌈 Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
