Job Responsibilities: As a Stone Mason Specialist, your responsibilities will include: o Expertly assess and recommend appropriate stone types for specific client needs, considering project specifications, durability, and aesthetics. o Cut, shape, and finish stone samples for client presentations and special projects, using advanced masonry tools and techniques. o Provide technical advice and practical guidance on stone installation, maintenance, and application techniques to clients and contractors.
o Address complex project requirements with innovative masonry solutions. o Assist in handling, moving, and storing stone slabs and other masonry products to preserve their quality and readiness for sale. o Utilize your deep knowledge of the stone masonry industry to guide customers in selecting the best materials for their projects.
o Build strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business. o Collaborate with suppliers to address quality control issues and ensure compliance with Australian regulations. o Conduct overseas inspections to ensure the quality of stone products sourced from international suppliers meets the highest industry standards.
o Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with workplace health and safety standards. o Essential Skills and Experience:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in stone masonry, including cutting, shaping, and finishing stone for various applications.
- Expertise in identifying and sourcing high-quality stone materials.
- Knowledge of Australian building and safety standards related to stone masonry.
- Proficiency in operating specialized stone masonry tools and machinery.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in stone masonry or an equivalent trade qualification is highly desirable.
