About the role:
Stores Supervisor - Koolan Island Operation on an 8 Days On / 6 Day Off (12-hour day) roster from Perth, Broome or Derby.
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, you'll be providing leadership and direction to personnel, with a focus on maintaining a safe, reliable and productive crew.
We'll also be asking you to oversee services to support the warehousing function including, but not limited to; airfreight, sea freight, parts availability and storage.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Accountable per the WHS Act and Regulations (mining) for the Safety of the personnel under their control, both directly and indirectly; in all aspects of their daily tasks.
- Monitor and report on all warehouse inventory levels, stock outs, duplicate warehouse and other Pronto stock system stock management processes.
- Airfreight - collect, account for and receipt both inbound and outbound using relevant systems and processes.
- Ensure accurate & efficient unloading, accounting for and receipting of all inbound goods to site via the barging service.
- Oversee stocktaking and planning.
- Implement and participate in daily area inspections; ensuring a safe work area.
- Coordinate & direct team members in demobilisation processes using the transporters online freight management system, manual Excel demobilisations forms for inter area item stock movements.
- Ensure accuracy of all Dangerous Goods demobilisations.
- Internal & External coordination with all planning, logistics, purchasing and inventory departments to ensure all items are available for required planned jobs.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and/or quality controls.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need: - Cert 4 in Warehouse Operations, or equivalent qualification in related field or relevant experience.
- WHS Statutory Mining Supervisor course certification including units of competency BSBWHS411 & BSBWHS414 and passed the applicable law examination for Statutory Supervisors in the relevant time period as per the legislation.
- Current Drivers licence WA C Class.
- Load restraint experience.
- Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain
- Execute and manage all DG storage in the warehouse areas of accountability to ensure compliance to the regulations and standards
- Dangerous goods by Sea Certificate (IMDG Full Accept) or ability to obtain.
- High level Microsoft, Teams, Excel and Pronto (or similar inventory management system) skill base.
- Licences to perform High Risk Work:
- LF (Forklift) – required
- DG (Perform Dogging & RB Basic Rigging) – preferred - Safe Work at Heights.
