Miepol Pty Ltd is a prominent service provider in the Civil/Construction Industry. Experienced in Civil Construction Infrastructure, Civil Design, Asset Management, Traffic Management and Labour Hire Services.
About the role
We are looking for a Surveyor based out of our depot in West Footscray, Vic due to growth in our operations. The ideal candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate they can and have experience in:
· Receiving direction from the construction / design teams or senior surveyor to undertake survey works on site.
· Developing and maintain an excellent relationship between MIEPOL and the client and stakeholders.
· Conducting surveys on land sites and properties.
· Examining previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy.
· Research and design methods for survey processes
· Use of equipment and tools to record and report on the survey works.
· Building survey drawings for the delivery of construction works and as built information.
· Supervising and providing guidance to field staff and crews.
· Providing costings for the procurement of equipment.
· Reporting on survey results and present findings to clients
· Developing solutions using the collection of information to set out and resolve problems on/off site.
· Collaborating with engineers and architects on several projects.
· Be able to travel to location both metropolitan and regionally. Accommodate on site if necessary.
· Calibration of equipment and service
About You
Previous experience as a surveyor or in a similar role
Have sound knowledge of modern surveying techniques and familiarity with modern surveying equipment.
Working knowledge of GPS, AutoCAD / Civil3D
Ability to work across Victoria.
Ability to work on your own.
Attention to detail.
Great organizational and leadership skills
Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field (preferred but not necessary)
