Swimming teacher

Pete's Swim School operates an indoor swim school facility in Queanbeyan and are looking for energetic people with a talent and passion for connecting with children.

We have recently been awarded the "Best new swim school in Australia" (ASSA) and also “Best small swim school in Australia” for Team, staff development and innovation (Swim Australia). We are a high performing swim school that focuses on skill progression in a fun environment.

We are also a family business that care and support our employees. Our new swim school is an expansion from our home swim school and is a long time dream finally a reality.

Our water is a warm 33 degrees and contains salt/magnesium to be gentle on your skin. Our beginner and intermediate levels have only 2 children per class, so your students will be easier to manage and will progress quickly giving you great satisfaction at the end of the day. 

This is a part-time role. You could work from one 3 hour shift per week up to 3 shifts per week, depending on current availability.  

If you are a former squad swimmer this can be an advantage. However, anyone that progressed through most of the levels of learn-to-swim can apply. This means you need to be able to swim freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. 

We will train you up to deliver high quality and fun lessons and you will love the smile on the children's faces - kids love learning to swim!

Currently qualified teachers are highly sought after. Please reach out if you are an already licensed teacher!

You must include a cover letter outlining why you are interested in this role and why you think you might be a good swimming teacher. Please make reference to your swimming background or swimming ability, and/or teaching children in your letter.
