About the role:     

Our state government client is looking for a System Administrator for an exciting project. 
 

Key responsibilities:

• Demonstrate technical expertise in the management, configuration, monitoring, implementation and automation of ICT environments in one or more technical domains, as indicated in Appendix A
• Deliver high quality ICT support to clients, with an emphasis on managing workloads, prioritising tasks and working unsupervised
• Complete multiple tasks within agreed timeframes, prioritise accordingly and take accountability 
• Assist in initiatives and project work across teams to meet business requirements
• Identify and resolve ICT related problems within defined Service Level Agreements
• Actively contribute to building a positive workplace culture to encourage inclusiveness, health and well-being, ethical behaviour and building positive performance teams
• Produce documentation, processes, procedures and reports in line with ITP documentation standards
• Assist in cross-team collaboration in ITP and across partner agencies, as required 
• Provide operational support on team rosters during the core business hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday 
• Participate in an after-hours On-Call roster as required.
   

Skills required

• Demonstrated experience in Windows server administration
• Demonstrated experience in Microsoft SQL server administration
• Demonstrated experience in Web server administration
• Demonstrated experience in Azure and AWS administration
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft System Centre monitoring tool sets 
• Demonstrated experience with the Installation and management of tool sets for both Windows, SQL, and Web server in a hybrid environment (on-premises & cloud)
• Demonstrated experience with automation for Window servers, including integration, scripting, and orchestration or similar configuration management tools
• Demonstrated knowledge in infrastructure automation using GitHub actions or similar infrastructure automation solution

• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificates, Group Policy
• PowerShell version 5 – 7 
• Infrastructure as code template in Terraform, YAML , JSON, Bicep
• Technical knowledge of VMWare VRealise 
• Technical knowledge of Backup, NAS, SAN, Network and Security infrastructure
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure ARC, Azure Purview, RAPID7 
• Microsoft Windows/SQL server certification
• AWS and/or Azure certification
• PowerShell certification
