Tax Accountant

IQ Capital Group is a well established, reputable and client focused financial services company specialising in Financial Planning, Tax & Accounting, Finance & Loan Structuring and Asset acquisition, delivering finance and investment solutions to reduce debt and increase personal wealth.

We specialise in all aspects of tax and accounting including tax returns, tax withholding variations, BAS, Company and Trust accounting.  As a result of continued growth we are looking for an experienced and professional tax accountant processor to join our tax and accounting division and support our Senior Tax Accountant.  

The Role:

• Data entry into “Tax Assistant” software program & the ATO Tax Portal
• Preparation of Individual Tax Returns, Investment Property expenses, Tax Withholding Variations etc
• Preparation of Company, Trust and Partnership tax returns
• Preparation of company financials
• Bookkeeping & accounting using Xero, MYOB etc
• Client reporting and responding to client communications
• Client data collection
• Client communication pre & post meetings
• Preparation of both client and tax and accounting documents
• Attending to client queries and liaising with accountants and other departments
• Client administration including updating client data base
• General administrative duties - filing, scanning, answering calls.

Attributes for the successful candidate for this key role:

Qualifications and Skills

• Full Completion of Tertiary Studies in Accounting
• At least 2 years accounting experience in Australia
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft programs including Excel
• Previous tax accountant experience within a tax accounting practice
• Sound experience and knowledge of “Tax Assistant" software program would be ideal but not essential
• Initiative, accuracy and attention to detail
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong client management and relationship building skills
• Proactive and organised with the ability to multi task
• Proven ability to work in a team environment effectively and efficiently
