Windsor High School is a comprehensive high school (650 students) located in the Hawkesbury valley. Students are drawn from Wisemans Ferry in the north to Bligh Park in the south. Enrolment is comprised of approximately 20% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 8% students with a language background other than English. The school has a support unit for students with intellectual disabilities. Over the past six years the school has focussed on establishing highly effective systems and structures in curriculum, student wellbeing, school organisation and teacher professional learning. The school has a positive learning environment and a culture that focuses on student and teacher learning with the aim of improving outcomes for students leaving school. The school is well supported by an engaged and active Parents and Citizen Association. There is a strong partnership with the local AECG and ties to the local Aboriginal community are continuing to develop.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
