Test Analyst

Overview
One of our Federal Government Clients are hiring for a number of positions in the new financial year to support existing and new projects that have been made a priority. With this position, they are looking for talented Testers to conduct system and integration testing of enterprise-class systems. 

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be Australian Citizens to be found suitable. Those with Federal Government clearances are encouraged to apply. 

 
As a Test Analyst, you will be required to:

• Analyse written specifications, user stories and requirements to create test cases with effective test coverage.
• Write, review and execute test cases and record results in Azure DevOps.
• Work with others to prioritise testing efforts, and test case execution in line with the test strategy and test plan.
• Identify, document, report and track defects and issues as they are found in testing.
• Track defects through to an agreed conclusion.
• Work with the ability to be proactive, flexible, and agile, whilst managing changing goals and scope in a multidisciplinary agile project team.
• Performing additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed by the supervisor from time to time.
• Participating in Performance discussions as required by the supervisor.

Candidates with the following skills and experiences are encouraged to apply. 

• Relevant experience undertaking system and integration testing of enterprise-class systems as part of a multi-disciplinary team, using manual testing methods in agile delivery.
• Well-developed testing skills, including the ability to write, review and execute complex test cases and a good understanding of software testing topics such as Test Phases, Test reporting, Test Traceability, Defect Triage and the Defect Management Lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience testing APIs, Azure DevOps and SQL (SQL Visual Studio) in context of setting up and evaluating testing.
• Relevant experience working as part of a team to prioritise testing efforts and test case execution, and report and track the resolution of defects/issues in alignment with a test plan and test strategy.
