Whilst working as a Therapy Assistant you will work closely with our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy services that enhance the well-being and quality of life of our residents. Juniper Carramar based in Morely, are currently seeking an experienced Therapy Assistant to join the team on a permanent part time basis. The successful candidate will be offered a 16 hour per fortnight contract and must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays from 1300 to 1700. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development and implementation of programs that address the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of residentsSupport residents in maximizing their abilities and encourage their participation in daily activitiesContribute to creating a positive, engaging, and safe environment for all residents, with a focus on those requiring specialized dementia supportAssist therapists in maintaining and improving residents' functional independence through targeted interventionsMonitor and report on residents' progress during therapy sessions, providing feedback to therapists on the outcomes of interventionsContribute to the evaluation of care plans, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of residentsMaintain accurate daily records of therapy activities and outcomes to ensure compliance and continuity of care Key Requirements Completion of a Therapy Assistant course – highly regardedExperience working as a Therapy Assistant – highly regardedExperience working in the Aged Care Industry, in either community or residential - desirableVerbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, residents, consumers, families and service providers What’s On Offer Attractive remuneration $26.88-$31.50 per hour - depending on experience, plus 11.5% superannuationNon-profit values driven Western Australian aged care providerAll employees have access to Juniperks an online platform that unlocks exclusive retail discounts, employee perks, wellness initiatives and peer acknowledgementSalary Packaging up to $18,550 per annum tax free How To Apply To be considered for this position please submit your application online including a current curriculum vitae.
