The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Trades Coordinator (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

Coordinate day to day operations, work assignments and resource allocation for Robina and Communities, trades and contractors
Monitor the work performance, outcomes of trades work ensuring that these meet performance criteria and standards and operation of plant and equipment
Undertake specific trade related duties within the area of expertise and statutory legal requirements
Monitor and report on the work of contractors including whether they are meeting deadlines, specifications and standards

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

A recognised Australian Trade qualification, Certificate III Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic or equivalent
Restricted Electrical License and Australian Registration Refrigeration Council
Australian Refrigeration Council Handling Licence
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Driver licence
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Permanent full time
Base salary ranging from $108 398 per annum (inclusive of Trade Coordinator allowance)

About Us

Maintenance Services sits within the service line of Asset Management Services within the Strategic Planning and Assets Division and comprises of a maintenance manager, maintenance coordinators, administrative staff, trade coordinators and approximately twenty trade staff including apprentices. Included in the trades are electricians, plumbers, fitters, painters, carpenters, refrigeration technicians and gardeners.
