Traffic Engineer and Road Safety Auditor

RSA is Australia’s leading firm specialising in road safety auditing, safe system assessment and risk assessments. We also undertake traffic impact assessments, traffic modelling and design and related services. Our engineers provide specialist input to major road and rail infrastructure projects nationally, including the West Gate Tunnel Project, Sydney’s light rail projects and the Adelaide South Road Superway. To assist our expansion in South Australia and to be a key member of our Adelaide based team involved in the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project, we are seeking a five-year+ experienced traffic/ road safety/ civil design engineer. As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to be involved in many of Australia’s most significant transport infrastructure projects and to support projects undertaken by Councils, Residential Developers and Civil Construction companies mainly in South Australia but also nationally. You will further enhance your skills in traffic engineering, design and project management, road safety auditing, safe system and risk assessment by working with Australia’s most experienced personnel in these disciplines. You will work directly with our client representatives and benefit from developing relationships with clients from diverse sectors. Role The main responsibilities of the role include: · Key member during RSA’s participation in the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project; · Conducting road safety audits at all stages of projects; · Reviewing Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes· The ability to undertake site inspections during non-work hours; · Consulting with stakeholders, primarily our clients; and· Preparing detailed reports with recommendations. Essential skills · Five years+ experience in traffic engineering, road design or related disciplines. · A current driving licence and availability to travel, including interstate.· The right to work in Australia. · Ability to write structured reports with professional language and technical detail. · Ability to clearly communicate issues / risks / recommendations with logical links.
