Trainee Asphalt Production Operator/Allocator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Asphalt Production Operator/Allocator . This is a full-time role that will provide you with the opportunity to train while gaining hands-on experience in asphalt production planning and scheduling for our external and internal clients and will involve:

• Monitoring of production levels and scheduling of asphalt production activities to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
• Allocation of asphalt loads to delivery trucks.
• Training on the operation of a front-end loader and other equipment.
• Basic maintenance/inspection requirements of the plant.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather information to support production planning and decision-making.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production operations.
• Role will require you to be available to work shift work as you may be rostered to work day and/or night shift with reasonable overtime and may be required to work across our multiple asphalt plants as needed.

What we're looking for

• Someone who is motivated, reliable and able to work in a team environment.
• Willing to learn and possess a strong commitment to safety.
• Previous experience within the asphalt industry is highly desirable but not essential as we will provide on the job training.
• General Construction Induction Card – White Card.
• Expected to successfully pass a Pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol test.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills to handle changing priorities and unexpected situations.

What we offer

A generous remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with experience. Regular overtime is available, with additional allowances for regional and night works.
