Civil Safety is a successful Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for the Mining, Civil Construction, Construction, Oil & Gas, and Primary Industries. We offer an extensive range of courses and a variety of learning methods including face-to-face, blended learning, 100% online, and online refreshers.
Our Cairns region is looking for someone like you to use your wealth of knowledge and practical experience in rural and/or civil/ mining industry and a focus on safety, we’d love to hear from you.
Civil Safety conducts training at various local training facilities along with regional clientele, Civil and the Mining industry, local schools, correctional facilities and councils.
We are committed to empowering individuals and organisations with the knowledge and skills necessary to create safe working environments.
As an Industry Trainer at Civil Safety, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training programs to individuals and organisations within various industries.
Role Description
Located in Cairns with our clients, you would be responsible for:
Conducting training sessions on a range of safety and job skill topics with matching exp in Civil and/or Rural.
Developing and updating training materials to ensure relevance and compliance.
Facilitating engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Supporting students with low language, literacy and numeracy.
Collaborating with subject matter experts to stay current on industry trends.
Providing constructive feedback to enhance the learning experience, some of which are young adults
Help students develop so they are ready to re-enter industry.
Qualifications
If you do not currently hold a TAE, but have industry experience, you will have the unique opportunity to further your own professional development by studying towards a nationally recognized TAE (Training and Assessment) qualification.
Proven 3+ years of experience working in industry in a leadership or training role.
Ideally a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the desire to complete one
The ability to work well with others and a proven history of delivering training and assessment in a practical, enthusiastic, and engaging manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in using technology and software.
Must possess an attitude for quality assurance and safety management and have an eye for detail.
Experience in delivering training and assessment to meet Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) standards.
A current driver's license.
