TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION MECHANIC

Advanced Transport Refrigeration + Airconditioning is seeking an experienced Transport Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team located at Wingfield, South Australia. 

Operating since 2005, ATR provide service, maintenance, repairs and installation to the transport logistics industry, as we all a range of services including auto electrical, auto air conditioning, refrigeration and fabrication to the wider transport and traffic management industries. 

This is a full-time workshop-based position that may also require off site work and overtime. 

The position:

• Diagnosing and repairing air conditioning systems in line with Australian Standards

• Handling basic repairs and maintenance

• Undertake day to day preventative/reactive works

• Reporting directly to Workshop Management 

• Follow on-site safety analysis & risk management

The Candidate:

• Experience in Transport Refrigeration ( Cert III Refrigeration & AirConditioning and two years experience, OR, three years of relevant proven work experience )

• Knowledge and experience with diesel and trailer units ( eg Mitsubishi / Thermoking / Carrier )

• Mechanical, Diesel Mechanic, Refrigeration and Auto Electrical skills and experience will also be highly regarded

• Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence

• Current MR driver's licence or higher desirable

• On-Site experience is highly regarded

• Sound knowledge of refrigeration and air-conditioning maintenance and repairs

• The ability to work autonomously is a must, as are excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team when required

• Great troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Reliability and punctuality are imperative

• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship is essential

This role will incorporate both repair and service works, as well as installation of new systems.
