About The Role As a Treasury Manager at Tyro, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the Tyro's financial health. This is a stand-alone role within the Treasury function, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on more responsibility and step up. You will be responsible for managing liquidity, investments, and funding while ensuring robust financial control and strategic planning. Overseeing cash flow, investment strategies, and financial risk management. This role requires strong collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to support Tyro's long-term financial objectives. This role is focused on managing transactional flows, regulatory compliance, and financial risk mitigation. There's no debt, so the treasury function revolves around liquidity, security, and operational efficiency. What You'll Do Liquidity and Cash Flow Management: Ensuring sufficient liquidity to support customer transactions, settlements, and operational expenses.Managing working capital efficiently to optimise cash reserves. Payment And Settlement Oversight Ensuring smooth and timely settlements between banks, merchants, and customers.Managing payment clearing and reconciliation processes.Handling foreign exchange (FX) risks if dealing with cross-border payments. Banking And Treasury Operations Managing relationships with banks and financial partners to optimise banking arrangements.Overseeing payment rails, such as card networks, SWIFT, ACH, and real-time payment systems.Implementing fraud prevention and cybersecurity measures for payments. Regulatory Compliance And Risk Management Ensuring adherence to financial regulations (e.g., AML, PSD2, PCI-DSS).Monitoring financial risks, including operational, liquidity, and fraud risks.Collaborating with compliance teams to ensure treasury processes align with legal requirements. Investment And Surplus Fund Management Optimising cash reserves through low-risk investments or interest-bearing accounts.Aligning investment strategies with the Tyro's risk appetite and liquidity needs. Financial Reporting And Data Analysis Providing real-time insights into financial positions, cash flows, and transaction volumes.Leveraging financial analytics to improve efficiency and profitability. Strategic Financial Planning and Expansion Supporting new market entry strategies by ensuring payment infrastructure and banking relationships are in place.Assessing the financial impact of launching new payment products or services. What You'll Bring Proven experience in financial management, treasury, or related roles, with exposure to cashflow forecasting and APRA requirements.A strong understanding of financial regulations, risk management, and investment strategies.A demonstrated track record of effective financial oversight and strategic planning.Previous work experience in a regulated environment, APRA environments highly preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA preferred).
