Haynes is currently seeking qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanics, Diesel Fitters, Boilermakers, and Machinists for a variety of exciting roles across the Mackay region.

Available Opportunities

Light Vehicle Mechanic – Mine Site (Southern Bowen Basin)

• Location: Southern Bowen Basin, near Mackay
• Roster: 7/7 (7 days on, 7 days off)
• Duties: Servicing and maintenance of auxiliary equipment on mine sites

Requirements:

• Trade Qualification
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence
• Previous mine site experience
• Ability to obtain Coal Board Medical & Standard 11

Trades Roles – Mackay/Bowen Basin-Based & Workshops

• Positions: Diesel Fitters, Boilermakers, Machinists
• Roster: Monday to Friday, Short-Term or Shift Rotation Roles Available (Overtime Available)
• Start Date: Immediate starts available

Duties Include:

• Diesel Fitters: Maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of heavy equipment
• Boilermakers: Welding, fabrication, and structural repairs
• Machinists: Precision machining and CNC operation
• Working as part of a team to meet project goals
• Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in your trade
• Strong focus on safety and risk assessments
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Fit to pass Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
• Reliable, motivated, and committed to quality work
