About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic self-motivated and energetic Venue Manager to run a high volume and high-energy iconic events establishment in South Brisbane. The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and who has the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders, both in and out of the venue.

This position requires a proactive leader with prior experience in Hospitality and Venue Management to drive the venue’s successful operation and overall success.

This role allows you to cover all aspects of the operations of the business while fostering strong community relationships, presenting an opportunity for you to elevate your career by leading a large, dynamic hospitality operation to higher levels of performance, and team engagement. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous Management experience in Hospitality, Function and Events, Venue Management that holds high volume events

  • Exceptional people management skills to recruit, lead and engage with your team

  • Experience in writing cost efficient rosters, managing labour costs, and investigating stock variances

  • Excellent communications skills to negotiate with a wide variety of stakeholders both in and out of the venue

  • A high-level of customer service to understand what exceptional experiences look and feel like

  • Strong understanding of P&Ls and ability to deep-dive into venue performance

Key qualifications & skills

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar managerial role

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, event management or similar will be highly regarded

  • Proven leadership in a busy hospitality environment

  • A natural motivator who builds strong teams and sets high standards.

  • A sharp business mind with experience in budgets, rostering, and cost control

  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, community-driven venue
