The Melbourne Zoo Veterinary department provides world class veterinary treatment to over 3500 collection animals as well as conservation medicine to support critically endangered species, breeding programs and a wildlife triage and treatment hospital.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated veterinarian to join us on a permanent, part -time basis. The primary purpose of this position is to deliver medical care to collection animals and wildlife and assist in delivering appropriate standards for veterinary care with the Life Sciences Manager - Animal Health, Senior Vet and Veterinary Hospital Supervisor for all animals presented. The associate veterinarian will assist with daily operations and planning to achieve this. Teamwork and good communication skills plus experience with some administrative tasks will be required as the successful candidates will be responsible for specific portfolio items.
