About the role

As a Contractor, this role will report to the Head of Sports Medicine and will assume the responsibility of delivering an elite level of physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to the VFL Players of the Western Bulldogs Football Club. The VFL Rehabilitation Physiotherapist will play a critical role in:

• leading and delivering acute and subacute medical management as well as contribute to and optimising performance-based management strategies to the VFL playing list
• the delivery of assessments, treatments and rehabilitation for VFL Western Bulldogs players including return to play training programs in consultation with the Physical Performance Unit Employees.
• communication of the development and progressions of players throughout the injury rehabilitation process with the Head physiotherapist / High Performance Manager as well as coaching staff, conditioning staff and other medical staff as required.
• that all documentation and medical records are up to date and entered into Smartabase
• attending VFL training and treatment sessions to support and optimise the functions, processes, practises and protocols of these programs to ensure that the highest professional level of medical services to the Western Bulldogs VFL playing Group.

We are seeking a Contractor who has a relevant tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, experience working with elite athletes in an elite high pressured Club environment. The contractor will also have the knowledge and proven track record in rehabilitation and injury prevention.  

Contractors will require their own ABN for invoicing and will have to attend VFL training and treatment sessions.
