About the role: 

This full time role is involved in the day to day activities of our production yard. This position will handle miscellaneous work within our facility at Para Hills West, including loading and unloading of materials, providing assistance to production managers, yard and stores staff, and ensuring facility is clean and safe. 
  
The key responsibilities of the role are to: 

  • Operate large forklifts to lift and maneuver buildings for transport or on-site relocation.
  • Perform general forklift and yard hand duties.
  • Prepare buildings for transport, including installing tarping to ensure they are weatherproof.
  • Conduct elevated work platform tasks as required.
  • Perform daily pre-start checks on equipment and machinery, maintain records, and arrange repairs or maintenance as necessary.
  • Liaise with transport companies and drivers, ensuring all paperwork is correctly completed and forwarded to relevant departments.
  • Prepare building sites by laying out footings and assisting in site preparation.
  • Gather and prepare materials for use by production teams or for dispatch to offsite destinations, and return unused materials to stock.
  • Handle general housekeeping and yard duties to maintain cleanliness and order.
  • Assist in Stores with various tasks as needed.
About You 

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: 
  • Experience working in a similar role in a manufacturing yard setting.
  • Physically capable to undertake the requirements of the role.
  • Current drivers licence & High Risk Work Licence.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality control.
  • Customer focused attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to work and strong work ethic.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a robust and fast paced environment.
  • Can work as part of a team and independently.
To be successful in this role you must have: 
  • A current valid Australian driver’s license
  • Current high-risk forklift license
  • Current construction card (white card)
