We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service in a high-end dining environment.
Waiter
- Ensure restaurant is set and packed down for each service and to provide a high level of one on one customer service while running a section within the restaurant.
Sommelier
- The Sommelier is responsible for the Icebergs Wine and Beverage program.
- The Sommelier understands that customer satisfaction always takes priority, but efficient beverage operations play a part in making that possible.
- Their responsibility is to improve the customer experience by food and beverage service whilst minimizing wastage and maintaining cellar efficiency and control.

Task & Responsibilities
Waiter
- Can match food to wine/competently runs a section and will help others if required
- Competent using POS, can accurately enter orders, rarely makes mistakes
- Able to perform the runners duties and service of food to our standards in the restaurant
- Competent with the menu and explaining dishes to customers in regards to their dietary requirements
- Can recommend at least 3 three wines from each section of the list and be able to match wine with food
Sommelier
- Ensure daily that the venue is set up to standard.
- Ensure daily wines by the glass, all wine fridges are stocked, any relevant event beverage is ready and in its required area.
- Maintaining the low and out of stock system ensuring that it is ready and up to date for every service.
- Ensuring all vintages are correct on the wine list.
- Maintaining Icebergs wine sequence of service
Qualification & Experience
AQF certificate III in Hospitality (Restaurant Front of House), or equivalent qualification as assessed by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) AND at least 12 months relevant work experience (Note: 12 months relevant work experience is additional to job placements during course of study)
OR
At least 18 months’ relevant work experience in Australia on a temporary visa.
OR
a least two (2) years’ relevant experience.
