Available for immediate start, the Warehouse Operations Officer will do all tasks that support movements of incoming and outgoing stock. You will pick and pack orders and do admin related to processing orders, tracking deliveries and keeping accounts with suppliers organised (like CHEP).
This role requires the physical ability to regularly lift coffee sacks (up to 35kg) and the ability to drive a forklift . Physical ability to lift coffee sacks, and pack pallets as part of each day is mandatory and expected of any suitable candidate. This role reports to the Warehouse Coordinator.
JOB DETAILS
Part-time. Tuesday to Friday, 20-25 hours per week with room to increase after probation period.
Based in Fyshwick, Canberra.

DUTIES OF THIS ROLE
Pick, pack and store coffee in our warehouse.
NOTE: Packing of heavy items is done with a second team member but is a fundamental part of the role. You must be comfortable to lift 35kg (70kg sack with another team member) to apply for this job.
Maintain electronic systems with all data for incoming and outgoing stock.
High attention to detail to ensure all orders are packed accurately, and all stock movements are correctly recorded
Support the Coordinator to do monthly stock-take and reconciliation.
Extract samples from coffee sacks that have arrived to our warehouse for quality control purposes.
Assemble pallets of mixed goods as required and shrink wrap/strap for dispatch
Handle all customer orders – pick, pack and dispatch to various destinations.
Liaise with freight companies for dispatching orders ensuring relevant documentation is appropriately completed and handed over.
Liaise with customers about deliveries and tracking.
Receive delivery of incoming stock ensuring all stock is accurately received, labelled and stored.
Undertake general maintenance of the green bean warehouse ensuring it is organised and inventory is properly stored and orderly at all times.
Clean the warehouse on a regular basis, ensure floors are swept and all rubbish is removed.
Maintain the company’s account with pallet supplier, CHEP, ensuring pallets are retrieved and returned as appropriate.
Maintain our warehouse grounds with basic care like weeding/watering as required.
Any other duties as required.

Holding a current licence is a bonus, otherwise experience driving a forklift is beneficial with a view to becoming licenced.
