Welding/Fabrication Instructor Required - Immediate Start

InTech Institute of Technology is currently searching for a fabrication and welding instructor who can assist us with training and supervision of our students and apprentices who are studying our engineering trade courses.

This is a great opportunity to mentor and pass on your skills to future welders and fabricators.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to get off the tools, semi-retired, or transitioning to retirement.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Deliver practical welding/fabrication and machining skills

• Deliver training to our partner high school in Narangba

• Deliver practical training to our full-time students onsite in Milton campus

The ideal applicant should have skills in the following areas:

• Welding – Manual Metal Arc (Stick), Gas Metal Arc (MIG), Tungsten (TIG)

• Fabrication – Cutting, marking out, geometric development, forming and shaping techniques

• Machining – Grinding, lathe work, milling work, bending, machine setting

• Hand and power tools

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Ideally hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or higher or have significant experience in the industry.

• Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills, effective English communication Skills – oral and in writing

• Compliant with WH&S regulations and procedures

This is a full-time position and requires immediate start.

• The role requires travel to training delivery sites: Narangba

• Must hold a valid drivers licence.

• Must be willing to obtain Blue Card (Working with Children)

• Pay rates are negotiable depending on experience and expertise.
