We are currently looking to recruit a Workshop Administrator, Parts Interpreter & Inventory Manager to join our Bendigo Workshop team.

The Position:

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Administrator, Parts Interpreter & Inventory Manager working Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm.

Workshop Administration

Maintain accurate workshop records and maintenance logs for the bus fleet.

Assist in Scheduling and coordination of vehicle servicing, inspections, and compliance checks.

Process work orders and invoices

Communicate with suppliers

Ensure all documentation meets internal quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Parts Interpreter

Identify and source the correct parts required for maintenance and repairs.

Liaise with workshop technicians to clarify parts requirements.

Communicate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery.

Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of vehicle parts, particularly bus-specific components

Inventory Management

Manage the day-to-day operation of the parts store, including receiving, stocking, and issuing parts.

Maintain an accurate inventory control system and monitor stock levels and reordering points.

Conduct regular stocktakes and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts storeroom.

Ensure critical parts are always in stock to minimise vehicle downtime.

Requirements:

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in workshop administration, parts interpretation, and/or inventory management (preferably in a heavy vehicle or transport environment).

Strong knowledge of bus or heavy vehicle components and systems.

Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with mechanics, suppliers, and management.

Current Heavy Vehicle driver’s license (desirable).

Working Conditions:

Based primarily in the workshop/parts store environment.
