About the role
Etheridge Ford is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Workshop Foreman to join our dedicated team in Ringwood, VIC. As the Workshop Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy automotive workshop, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance services.
What you'll be doing
Manage and coordinate the work of the workshop team, including mechanics, apprentices, and support staff
Oversee the scheduling and allocation of work orders to ensure timely completion
Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the status of their vehicle repairs
Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Identify and address any issues or bottlenecks in the workshop operations
Provide hands-on support and guidance to the workshop team as needed
Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Workshop Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the automotive industry
Extensive knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficient in the use of workshop management software and tools
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
A focus on safety and quality, with a commitment to continuous improvement
