As our Workshop Foreperson, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the daily operations of our busy workshop. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring the smooth flow of work, managing repair orders, and providing strong leadership to a dedicated team. Your expertise will ensure our operations run like a well-oiled machine!

Key Responsibilities:

As our Workshop Foreperson, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assessing the time and labour requirements for each service and repair to ensure timely completion
  • Allocating service, repair, and reconditioning tasks to technicians efficiently
  • Managing the workflow through the workshop to maximise productivity and profit
  • Prioritizing tasks in line with customer needs and business goals
  • Overseeing the movement of vehicles in and out of the service workshop
  • Organizing and issuing purchase orders, as well as controlling sublet repairs
  • Working closely with the workshop group leader and service advisors to align capacity with demand
  • Maintaining and optimising the production control system to enhance workflow

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in a dealership environment (Toyota experience highly valued)
  • Automotive qualification/certificate is essential
  • Strong diagnostic skills and technical aptitude
  • Current C Class (manual) driver’s license
  • A deep understanding of the automotive industry
  • Exceptional organisational skills to keep everything on track
  • Customer-service-focused attitude to ensure we exceed expectations
