Workshop Machine Operators

Our leading client is looking for experienced Machine Operator/Mechanical Trade assistant to assist in the daily operations at their workshop in Somersby. They specialise in manufacturing various materials and products for their own projects, they are the largest manufacturing business based on the Central Coast.

Pay Rate:
Monday- Thurs  $36ph + Super+ Travel (38 hours)
Friday- 1.5T First 2 hours and 2T rest of the day 
Saturdays- 1.5T First 2 hours and 2T rest of the day 

Duties include, but are not limited to,

• Operating the overhead Cranes
• Use of Laser Cutting Machine 
• Operating Plasma cutting machines 
• Steel beam lining operations
• Structural Steel and Sheetmetal works 
• Perform work in a safe manner
• To be conversant with and take an active part in all quality
• Assist tradesmen in their needs as required.

Essential:

• Overhead Crane Operating experience (no ticket required)
• The ability to understand, follow and comply with WHS obligations
• White Card
• Forklift ticket (ideal not essential) 
• Ability to work different shifts & overtime
• Full PPE Gear
• Reliable and a good communicator

Desirable:

• Previous experience in the reinforcing steel or manufacturing industry is an advantage 
• Workshop experience 
• Previous experience as a trades assistant working with structural steel products
