We are seeking qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics to join our Field and Workshop maintenance teams, which play a crucial role in supporting our Asphalt and Spray Sealing operations through the delivery of planned maintenance and ad hoc emergency repairs.

Task & responsibilities

Key responsibilities & requirements:

• Ability to schedule and organise parts, execute planned maintenance, and manage /carry out emergency repairs.
• Ability to demonstrate safe work practices.
• Maintaining the workshop to a high standard.
• Liaise with other staff members and suppliers.
• Work well in a team, show initiative, and be responsible.
• Accurate electronic record keeping.
• Be able to travel and stay away with the crew when required.
• You must be able to work flexible hours to meet operational requirements. Some weekend work may be required.

Qualification & experience

The successful applicant should possess the following Experience & Qualifications:

• Suitably trade qualified with 5+ years of experience in diesel engines.
• Experience in light and heavy vehicles essential. Experience with Volvo trucks and Asphalt paving equipment - highly desirable.
• Welding experience - highly regarded.
• Experience with hydraulics and auto electrical systems - highly regarded.
