Key responsibilities As Administration Officer (Rosters), you will specifically: • Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.• Develop and maintain rosters to meet operational needs that are in accordance with award provisions and other associated industrial instruments, preferably within a 24/7 operating environment.• Process staffing variations and overview overtime approvals in consultation with relevant managers as appropriate.• Liaise on a regular basis with the Administration Officer (Payroll) and Youth Detention Centre Managers to ensure that all rostering and staff movements are captured and reflected correctly on the HR Payroll system.• Develop and maintain positive and robust communication links with all levels of employees within the centre.• Provide informed and accurate advice and support to managers and staff on all roster, leave, employee entitlement and other associated issues.• Provide administrative support including input of data into various computer-based systems including data entry for rosters.• Develop and maintain accurate recording systems and report to identify staffing trends and provide advice on these matters to relevant line management.• Maintain confidentiality regarding human resource information.
