&nbsp;The Early Childhood Teacher provides leadership in delivering high quality, inclusive programs within the Centre.You will have expert knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and relevant state-based curriculums, child development and learning to lead the room’s education program and practice, as well as the Centres aim tomeet or exceed the National Quality Standard.&nbsp;Task &amp; Responsibilities:Ensures the development and delivery of a high-quality education and care programModels effective intentional teaching practices in promoting quality learning environments and outcomes for ChildrenLeads by example to support, guide and develop a strong positive culture whilst representing GreenLeaves values and reputation in being a service recognised for excellenceIs part of the key leadership team that assist the Centre Director in the successful operation of the CentreAssist the Centre Director and 2IC in the Assessment and Rating process and working towards outcomes on the Quality Improvement Plan.Early childhood programs and working with children<ul><li>Leads the development and delivery of high-quality educational learning programs and daily routines, employing a diverse range of teaching strategies (including intentional teaching and reflective practice in daily activities), to prepare children for their first year of formal schooling (where applicable)</li><li>&nbsp;Ensures the learning environment is innovative and inspiring, and reflective of the educational program and the children’s interests</li><li>&nbsp;Mentors and guides other educators in their understanding of the National Quality Standards and guidelines and how to reference these into their programs</li><li>&nbsp;Regularly evaluate the program, learning outcomes, environment and teaching practices</li><li>&nbsp;Inspires conversations and communication about the curriculum that provides a common language for Educators, children, families and the wider community</li><li>&nbsp;Is a role model that interacts with children in a warm and positive manner creating a positive learning environment</li><li>&nbsp;Provides a safe learning environment for children, including maintaining a high level of care and standard of health and hygiene&nbsp;</li><li>Assists in the development of Children’s self-help skills, independence, and self confidence</li><li>&nbsp;Support children daily in achieving developmental milestones</li><li>&nbsp;Actively supports and guides the team in their understanding and practice around children’s behaviour as per the Centre’s Behaviour Management Policy</li><li>&nbsp;Works with the team to develop a portfolio for each child, ensuring there is documentation of children’s learning that meets the expectations and standards of Green Leaves, while extending the child’s learning</li><li>Ensure that documentation is utilised to inform critical reflection when developing the program</li><li>&nbsp;Works with the team to develop and contribute ideas to the Centre QIP, and actively works to assist in the preparation and a positive outcome for the Centre during the Assessment and Rating process</li></ul>&nbsp;Essential qualifications/experience/skills:&nbsp;• Bachelor qualified in Early Learning or equivalent qualification• Current Senior First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates• State relevant Working with Children Check, Blue Card or Safety Screening• Current Child Protection Training• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Highly organised with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and priorities, and managing time effectively.Desirable• Previous experience in a similar role• Knowledge and experience with QikKids and Educa (or similar equivalent platforms)• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Facebook.
